Sint-Niklaas (BE)

Situated just 32 km from Antwerp and 43 km from Brussels, Sint-Niklaas is the capital and major city of the Waasland region straddling the East Flanders and Antwerp provinces. The city has a population of around 71'000 and is known for having the largest market square in Belgium.

Many outdoor events and activities take place here throughout the year, including an international balloon meeting (Vredesfeesten) which take place every September and the very popular Peace Festivities (Villa Pace) which will pay host to the Making Peace exhibition. There are also two series of concerts and activities: Summer in Town, and Winter in Town. Other events include the Walburg concerts, Flanders volley gala and the cyclocross at De Ster.
